Tips To Rock California Disneyland Park To Enjoy Your Day

Disneyland California is the original Disneyland in the chain of Disneylands around the world, the brainchild of Walt Disney himself. If you've grown up with Disney movies, you'll feel as if you've gone back to your childhood. Not only can you experience classics like Space Mountain and Indiana Jones, but you can also shake hands with characters like Mickey and Minnie! If you're planning a trip to Disneyland California, read on to learn more about the park as well as some tips and experiences to ensure you get the most out of your visit to the park.

There are 2 theme parks in Anaheim - Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. If it's hard to decide which park to visit, we recommend purchasing a Pass Hopper ticket, which allows you to visit both parks in one day! If you want to visit BOTH parks on different days, we recommend buying a multi-day admission ticket!

Long queues at the Park are inevitable. Pre-book your tickets on Klook to skip the queues - all you need to do is present electronic ticket (your e-voucher)  at the turnstiles and enter the park directly!

Did we also mention Disney California tickets on Klook are open tickets? This means you can enter the park any day during the validity of your ticket, so you can be flexible with your schedule in case of bad weather, or something unexpected? . For the best experience, be sure to check the tourist seasons before you buy your ticket.

When should you visit Disneyland California?

There are 3 different seasons - high, mid and low.

  • Low season is when tourist demand is lowest and therefore the park will be less crowded.
  • On weekends and during the summer holidays from June to July, the number of visitors to the park increases significantly, so avoid those months if you can!

Come on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) whenever you can, maybe you'll have easier tours!

Actual opening hours are seasonally adjusted. Please reconfirm the opening time on the day before entry at the official website. There are also extra deals for those staying at nearby Disneyland hotels, so check to see if your hotel offers that. This will allow you to enter the park earlier than everyone else!

An important part of planning Disneyland rides is using Disney FASTPASS. This is a special ticket with selected games allowing you to return at a specified time to continue participating. A special FASTPASS queue that only ticket holders can use.

You will simply go to that game, scan your ticket at the fastpass machine and print a ticket with the time printed on the ticket and return within that time period.

The next FASTPASS will be available in about 2 hours after you have your FASTPASS ticket or when the next FASTPASS gate is opened. Games you can use FASTPASS for include:

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
  • Fantasmic!

Get the official Disneyland app even if you don't buy a MaxPass. You can check waiting times at attractions, make food reservations and even order your food before you arrive. You can also locate nearby characters and get ready to take pictures with them!

The Pixar Parade celebrating all of Pixar's beloved characters takes place twice a day at Disneyland. The parade is an activity that attracts most people, many even camping 1.5 to 2 hours in advance to get a good seat. Some of the best viewing locations include:

  • Main Street U.S.A
  • Near It's a Small World
  • Alice in Wonderland side
  • Near Disneyland Hub

P.S. This is a special water spray parade, so you will probably get wet! Prepare a towel and some snacks so you can sit comfortably while waiting for the parade to begin!

Fireworks at Disneyland California

Fireworks Remember… Dreams Come True is a unique performance not to be missed. The top spot for fireworks is right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, but that area is bound to get extremely crowded. People usually come here to queue at least 2 hours in advance.

The side near Tomorrowland will provide more beautiful and proportionate views than the Frontierland side, you can come here to watch the fireworks.
